Every
holiday season, the Hipster Book Club community is inundated
with requests for book-related gift suggestions. This year,
however, the staff of the HBC wants to provide an ultimate
gift-giving suggestion list for December; we just need your
help!
Tell
us a little about the people for whom you're buying gifts
so that we know what to put on the list. Your descriptions
don't have to be long or very thorough, though. It's as simple
as finishing this sentence: "I need a gift for..."
Here
are some examples from last year's list:
I
NEED A GIFT FOR...
...a friend who has been on e-Bay trying to find a replica
of Lucy's skull.
...a brother who may or may not be taking fantasy sports to
an almost religious level.
...a friend who I might think is an actual baby bird.
...my Mom, who likes historical stories, but nothing too racy
or violent!
...my boyfriend who loves Norway and elks.
...my
best friend, who is more in love with Miranda July than Kyle
Olson is (though such love may not be possible).
...my music-obsessed boyfriend who has a record collection
that would put High Fidelity's Rob to shame.
…a friend who likes to cook. *
