AUTHORS
AND PUBLISHERS
If you have a book to promote or would like to set up an interview
with a literary personality, contact
the editors via e-mail at hipsterbookclub@gmail.com.
If we're interested, we’ll tell you where to send your material.
Please
note that we do not review the
following:
- Magazines
(single issues of literary journals are exempt).
- Serialized
comic books.
- Self-published
books or books from print-on-demand publishers.
Due to
the volume of e-mail we receive, we may not respond to your
e-mail in a timely fashion. We also do not respond to rude
or demanding e-mails. If you haven't the sense to be nice
in your query letter, we aren't interested in your book.
WRITERS
We're always looking for new writers to join the staff. If
you're interested in being a part of the HBC website, please
send us the following:
- A
brief summary of your writing background. No experience
is necessary, but we'd like to know if you have any.
- Your
screen name on LiveJournal. If you're not a part of the
HBC LiveJournal community, you obviously don't have to provide
this.
- A
500-800 word book review. You may choose any book you'd
like, though we'd prefer to see reviews of books we haven't
already reviewed ourselves.
- Anything
else you think we need to know about you. This may include
your literary interests (e.g. your affinity for experimental
fiction, memoirs, or graphic novels), ideas for an article,
or offers to give Kyle a backrub. If you live outside of
the United States, we definitely would like to know.
Send
this material to hipsterbookclub@gmail.com.
Due to the volume of e-mail we receive, we may not respond
to your e-mail in a timely fashion. Feel free to e-mail us
again.
